The gripping trailer for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (the second movie in the trilogy) was released two days ago and to no surprise, already has 1.5 million views. The highly anticipated film is set to release November 22nd, which means I need to preplan canceling all possible distractions for the month of November.
If you haven’t seen the first, you’re weird BUT there’s hope for your soul because you have a little over 6 months to rent it/buy it/watch it on Netflix Instant Queue. If a movie is on Netflix IQ, you have absolutely no excuse for not watching it.
The Hunger Games trilogy, long story short, is about this girl Katniss who goes on a series of eating challenges and stuff. And then there is this other main character named Peeta, but his name is really George, but Katniss was in a food coma and called him Pita which then translated to Peeta and stuck.
SURPRISE!!! I totally made that all up. Don’t act like you didn’t believe me. Don’t. Anyway, the trilogy is actually really deep and twisted and revolves around this awesome warrior girl Katniss Everdeen (played by perfect Jennifer Lawrence) who is forced to compete in a game where 24 teenagers fight to the death, with the competition being televised for the whole world to see. It’s about love, loss, family, perseverance injustices, and standing up for what’s right. It’s pretty tight, and by pretty tight I mean that it is one of my favorite story lines ever, I saw the first at midnight and I will for the second and third, and Katniss is the coolest. Try to read the book first though! It’s worth it.
